  • 17 Oct 2018 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I just wanted to inform the Minority Whip that as we speak, the mace of Homa Bay County Assembly is missing and the police have launched investigations. The reason being the same wrangles in county assemblies, where people are fighting about whether to remove the speaker or not. Therefore, to make the sitting impossible, someone must have gone and hidden the mace somewhere. view

Mwaura made a very passionate Facebook post and I read it. It was about his experience in his former school. I have known Sen. This is, therefore, an urgent issue in terms of replacement and so forth. I will liaise with the Senator and the Committee and give an interim answer to the House, if need be, by Thursday next week. Meanwhile, we can do whatever we need to by tomorrow. view

I join you and my fellow Senators in condoling with the families, relatives and friends of those who lost their lives in that grisly accident at Fort Ternan. I have not heard of another country like ours where people die in terms of 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s or even a 100 and it is not shocking news. It is just temporary shocking news.
