The notices are usually published in the daily newspapers like the Daily Nation, The Standard and so on. It is also true that there are only two occasions when the officers have forgotten to switch on the power after energizing the new lines. This is a human error and I am sure the KPC will address it. view

Sometimes the breakdowns are due to maintenance problems. Sometimes there are major breakdowns that require time for them to be fixed. I believe that the KPC is doing its best. In those areas where the hon. Member feels that, indeed, the delay in response is indefinite, please, let us know. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we have embarked on a very ambitious programme focusing on power generation; we expect to introduce another 500 megawatts by the year 2016. So, with this new programme we expect the quantity of power supply to increase considerably by the 2016, when the geothermal power plants will be up and running. view

If we delete Clause 67 which provides for the functions of a joint parliamentary committee on intelligence, are you saying that Parliament is not going to have this joint parliamentary committee on intelligence? So, we need that clarification from the Chairman so that we can know how to vote. Could the Chairman make that clarification? view

There is history in this country. Remember that people used to disappear. People would be arrested by officers in civilian clothes and disappear. view
