Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I rise to second. I thank Hon. Washiali for coming up with this Motion. It is, indeed, true that a number of students are actually suffering in remand. Even as he said it in his final remarks, it might not be the best way to correct those particular students. Even as we look at the number of students affected, I have a case in mind. Ten students from a school called Kisiriri are in prison because of arson. If measures are put in place, there are better ways of rehabilitation other than putting those particular ...

Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. At the outset, let me indeed thank the chairperson of this particular Committee, my very good friend Hon. Kathuri, and your Committee. This is the first time this House, through our Standing Orders, we have created this committee to oversee NG-CDF. I looked at the recommendations of the Committee and they are very good. They will go a long way in improving management of NG-CDF. Indeed, there are a number of bottlenecks and of course every Member in this House understands. I have heard the issue of trying to introduce electronic cheques to schools. ...

Thank you very much, Hon. Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity. I rise to support the Petition by my very good friend, Hon. Mwashako. Narok County is a beneficiary of the Equalisation Fund. However, we have not seen the benefit of the last allocation. I have had the benefit of visiting Wundanyi Constituency in Taita Taveta County three weeks ago. It beats logic to hear that the CRA has given Taita Taveta a raw deal. The Petition by Hon. Dan is well placed and the relevant authority should look into it.

Thank you very much. I also support my colleague. I know that matters forests are very sensitive in this country. There are situations where land was given out a long time ago and yet the records portray them as forests. So, the Committee needs to look at this issue. The economic impact on the people of Ndaragwa is equally important.
