I would like to request that the Chairman of the Committee on Budget and Finance circulates this report so that all of us can interrogate it. We are hearing all these figures and we cannot verify the information being given. The report has not been given to the Table Office. We need those documents. view

Mutula Kilonzo Jnr. has said, I also want us to be careful that unless we teach responsibility--- Maybe the Chairperson has to clarify whether once this money is loaned to these people, they are taught how to repay. I do not think that we can be giving money and when people default in repayment, we just waive. We want to have a proper culture where people can be taught accountability. If we give money and do not teach people how to account for it then, of course, everyone else ... view

Our country is made up of ethnically divided boundaries. The reason I support this Bill is that it seeks to set up a legal framework to define boundaries and settle boundary disputes. This morning, as I was coming from Mombasa, I saw a big dumpsite and all I could see is income. When I go to Nakuru there is a timber yard and also another dumpsite; all I could see is money. I just wanted to remind the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Lands Environment and Natural Resources – I know he is busy – that there was a statement which had already been issued by the previous Minister for Lands and Physical Planning. He issued two reports in particular concerning this parcel of land.
