Definitely, it will enhance the performance of the TSC which has been steered very well by its Secretary since 2004. With regard to holiday Tuition, it should have continued until January when we would have given teachers adequate notice to cover the syllabus. However, there is a Section in the Pensions Act which prohibits an employer from taking an employee’s pension to recover loans. So, in this case, Mawasiliano Sacco Limited could not take the dues that were paid to these employees as terminal benefits when they were retrenched by Telkom Kenya Limited. Member on this case, it is Mawasiliano Sacco Limited which has not been re-paid the loans it gave out to the397 members who were retrenched by Telkom Kenya Limited.
