5 Jul 2016 in Senate:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I join my colleagues in condemning what happened to the three people who were killed in the last five days. It is a surprise to me because a policeman who is supposed to give you security is the same person who will turn around and brutally kill you like what they did a few days ago. I give my condolences to the families of these three men who died in a terrible way. We condemn this and I hope this act is an individual act and it is not about Jubilee, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) or any ...

2 Jun 2016 in Senate:
Mr. Temporary Chairman, Sir, I have been requesting to seek a clarification from you for long time. I thought we are in the Committee of the Whole because of the amendments. I have been listening keenly to contributions made by Sen. (Prof.) Kindiki and Sen. Mutula Kilonzo Jnr. with regard to amendments. However, why should we waste time in this Committee of the Whole when we know that we cannot do much without amendments? I would like clarification from the Chair. The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only. A certified version of this Report ...

5 May 2016 in Senate:
Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I also rise to support the Motion. I thank the Senate Majority Leader for bringing this Motion of Adjournment. I support this because of two reasons: It is very important for the Senators and MCAs to meet and discuss their achievements of the last four years. It is also very important to discuss this because we are representing the people of this country. I was so shocked during the devolution conference that 81 per cent goes to recurrent expenditure and only 19 per cent goes to development. I mean, this money that comes to the Consolidated ...

26 Apr 2016 in Senate:

13 Apr 2016 in Senate:
Bw.

30 Mar 2016 in Senate:
Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to contribute on the same. My earlier request to contribute was about the appointment by the Rules and Business Committee of our new Senator, Sen. Cheruiyot. Nonetheless, I support the Motion on Adjournment.

30 Mar 2016 in Senate:
Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, it is okay. I also support the Motion of Adjournment and this is because the 10 or 12 days that we will be out of this House will give us time to also meet with the people at the county level. I know it will be best for Sen. Cheruiyot to even go back to his county of Kericho to maybe appreciate the people for electing him in the by-elections. I also take this opportunity to thank the people of Kericho County for giving opportunity to this young Senator. I know you are aware of his ...
