  • 10 Oct 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, with regard to the parking bay at Salgaa, the Assistant Minister has told the House that there was a court case which was filed by Odhiambo and Odhiambo Advocates Company. I want to inform him that that case is already done away with. The process needs to begin and he does not need to negotiate any more. Could he confirm to this House that he is going to move expeditiously to ensure that the parkings along the road side at Salgaa, which occasion too many accidents, at view
  • 4 Oct 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister tell the House why the pyrethrum crop has continued to perform very poorly? Why, also, has the management of the PBK been interfered with a lot by the Ministry? view
  • 3 Oct 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Attorney-General the following Question by Private Notice. (a) Is the Attorney General aware that Maj. Gen. • 3 Oct 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, this Question was deferred last week and it concerns an ailing old man who cannot get medication because of lack of funds. Deferring it further, really, amounts to having that old man suffering all through. I request you to, at least, suspend it for the time being in case the Attorney-General appears. We had agreed with him that this Question will be answered today. view
  • 3 Oct 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. From the time we started the business of this House, there has not been any Question answered. The Front Bench is conspicuously absent. When we have Questions raised by the Backbench we suffer a lot of reprisal from the House. We lose our Questions. They are dropped and we are left punished but when it comes to the side of the Front Bench, they are given a free hand to get away with the business of this House. Why should we come to the House and no business is transacted and ... view
  • 26 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to also make my own remarks and contribution towards this worthy Motion. I would like to start by thanking the Mover of this Motion. In moving this Motion, he is now taking us in the direction of finding a lasting solution to a problem that has stayed with us for a long time. The issue of Banita is now known all over. It is just a very small portion of a sub-location which before 2002 was never known by anybody beyond ten or 15 kilometers away. But because of ... view

  • 26 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, what is disappointing is that after the cancellation, people who did not deserve were allocated the land. You will find somebody who has about 1,900 acres in the neighbourhood being allocated five acres within the settlement scheme. These are some of the things that the Provincial Administration and Ministry of Lands officials have been unwilling to address. This has caused the continuous skirmishes that we have seen. Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I support this Motion but with an amendment. I beg to move that the Motion be amended by deleting the name of hon. Mutava Musyimi, ... view
