Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me an opportunity to support this important mediation. Mediation arises when the two Houses have differed on a matter. On this particular matter of the debt ceiling, the idea was that the matter also be reported to the Senate. This debt ceiling eventually affects part of the monies that are acquired through borrowing and end up in devolution. Our Members were perfectly in order to negotiate with the National Assembly so that the matter does not just lie and end at the National Assembly. I was in the National Assembly for 10 years ...

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me an opportunity to comment on this very important Health Bill, where we are talking of going digital and making sure that hospitals improve in Kenya. Mr. Speaker, Sir, there has been a need to improve the processes that patients go through in hospitals in Kenya, from the time a patient reports or happens to be an emergency case, in case of an accident, up to the time that patient is referred, transferred or leaves the hospital. The moment everything is in a digital form, you are likely to find out the history of the patient. In the event that particular patient had collapsed or just had an accident and is unable to talk, it is easier to pick that information from data. Therefore, once you picked that it is easier to know how to treat or deal with that particular patient. The moment things are in a data or digital form, which can be accessed ...

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. So, the moment somebody has gone through a scan, that is what determines whether the patient will be treated at that particular hospital or be transferred to a different hospital.

Mr. Speaker, Sir, this has to be guided by law because that information is partly electronic and is transferable electronically to the hospital where you will be referred to. I support this Bill and I thank you for the opportunity.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me an opportunity to support this great petition. Muindi Mbingu, who has a street named after him today in Nairobi, was one of the freedom fighters of the Kamba Community. He joined other communities in Kenya to fight the colonial government so that Kenya could attain independence. Muindi Mbingu also led the Kamba Community to fight injustices occasioned by the colonial masters. There has been very little attempt--- Other than naming a street after him and the County Government of Machakos making a statue of him around Kyumvi area, nothing much has been ...
