  • 18 Sep 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker Sir, I have approached the Chair three times and requested him to invite me to the Committee, but he has never, not even a single day, invited me. I want to tell the country that, on Friday last week, we lost three people due to banditry. It is very sad that nothing has come. A month ago, I think the Leader of the Majority Party took the initiative and followed it up on my behalf. He is in the House. Could he tell us the position as it is at the moment? view
  • 1 Aug 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker. It is unfortunate for the hon. Member to say that he confuses Maj. Muluvi of the National Assembly and Senator Musila. view
  • 1 Aug 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, what I am saying is that those people addressed their answer to Senator Musila. So, my question stands unanswered. That is the position. view
  • 1 Aug 2013 in National Assembly: He says Wednesday? view
  • 1 Aug 2013 in National Assembly: When the House next sits? view

  • 30 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker. Two months ago, I sought a Statement from the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security regarding the deteriorating security situation in Kitui East Constituency, specifically in the areas of Maalani, Endau and Voo locations. The Leader of Majority Party had promised to give the Statement last week. We discussed the matter while I was on a campaign tour in Makueni County and he promised to give that Statement today. So, I am waiting for him to do so. view
  • 30 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I think the Chairman of the Committee also needs to tell us why two months after he made the commitment, he is promising again to issue it tomorrow. view
  • 30 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, they had promised to issue the Statement today. view
  • 30 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, that is true but what I want to put on record is that we have lost six people since the time I sought the Statement from the Government. The cardinal responsibility of the Government is to protect its citizens and their property. We must take this matter very seriously. In fact, it is unfortunate. If we proceed on recess, it will be very difficult for me to face those people because of what has happened over the last six days. view
