  • 3 Jan 2013 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I thank you for allowing me to join my colleagues in stressing the importance of retaining this arm of Government called the “Provincial Administration”. I want to support and say that an orderly Government must distribute duties properly and ensure that every sector is covered. When it comes to the Provincial Administration, there are issues that cannot be sorted out even by those us who want to become Governors like me. Security of a nation is a national matter. We should not compromise it and put it in an area where it can be compromised. Secondly, ... view

  • 20 Dec 2012 in National Assembly: Hon. Namwamba raised issues on standards and quality which I want to assure this House that TIVETA that has been established has taken care of that very well. That was noticed by other Members; we want to make sure that the standards in the middle level colleges are as high as what one will get internationally. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to mention that in June, 2012, I travelled to Canada to see the Director for Technical Training on the invitation of the Government of Alberta. We wanted to discuss the possibility of our youth being employed outside ... view
  • 19 Dec 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, thank you for giving me this opportunity to join my colleagues in thanking His Excellency for the wonderful service he has given this country for 49 years which is longer than the age of some of our colleagues. I want to thank Your Excellency for your commitment and dedication to this nation and I want to thank you on behalf of the education sector, in particular, for the reports that you have made starting from Free Primary Education (FPE) and Free Secondary Education (FSE) and the improvements that you have put in the university sector. view

  • 18 Dec 2012 in National Assembly: This Bill is long overdue. The establishment of an Authority to be known as the Kenya Sports Development Authority is something that we should have done a long time ago. You realize that the sportsmen of this country are self-made. We have not co- ordinated or managed them, yet they have excelled and given Kenya a name. If only we had this Bill before to organize them a little bit better, I am sure we would have been stars of the international community more than what we are currently. view
