Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 5 of the Bill be amended in paragraph (g) by inserting the words “and county governments” immediately after the words “the Cabinet Secretary”. The justification for this is that the amendment seeks to ensure that both the national Government and county governments benefit from the advice of the Community Health Workers Council. view

I beg to move: THAT, Clause 18 of the Bill be amended— (a) in paragraph (b) by deleting the words “in any of the courses outlined in the Second Schedule”; and (b) in paragraph (c) by inserting the words “in community health” immediately after the words “ten years’ experience” The import is that the amendment seeks to ensure that a person shall qualify for appointment as a registrar if the person has any of the degrees recognised in Kenya and must also have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Community Health.
