The reason is because they graduate from high school with no sufficient skills to enter the workforce. If they choose not to go to college or they are not able to join colleges, they cannot be able to--- Most employers are looking for people who are hands on. That is where we are moving towards.   • 30 Sep 2015 in National Assembly: The Engineers Act that is being proposed for amendment compared to the other one, this has a more holistic approach. It attempts to accommodate all these professions. Maybe engineers should be included in this particular Bill, so that they can accommodate engineers, technologists and the technicians. But I want to say that we need to support this Bill, because this is the Bill that is going to make this country achieve Vision 2030. I want to confirm that our Committee thoroughly vetted Madam Anne and she proved herself to be competent. We looked at all aspects as already enumerated by the Chairman and she was able to appropriately answer most of the questions that we asked her. On the issue of qualification, it is needless to repeat that the candidate qualifies. She is currently a PhD student and has a Masters Degree. She met all the requirements. Secondly, on the issue of experience, we learnt that Anne has a wealth of experience ... view
