Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to support this Bill. I am supporting this Bill because I was here when Millie was speaking but also when we read the Bible, we remember that when Sarah could not get a child, she was aware of a promise from God. She told Ibrahim to go with the maid. A woman who does not have a child has many problems because even when she is married, her family does not see her as a person because she is not reproducing as they expect. The Bible says that we ...

Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity just to thank the President for his State of the Nation Address. He talked about corruption and the need to finish corruption. We need to establish many places in this country where tourists can come to visit. That way, our people will get jobs. We have a problem with regard to poverty in this country. It has made our people lag behind. In the coffee and tea subsectors of agriculture, so many things are not going well. The President should think about how he will help farmers in Kenya. ...

Centres are very good. So many people used to suffer. For example, people would be required to travel long distances just to go and renew their driving licences or get Identity Cards. We want our people to register as voters. The next elections are not far off. We are already eating into the third year. There is a problem of insecurity. We have so many reported cases of people being killed in their homes. There are a lot of firearms in the wrong hands. Just the other day, a teacher was killed in Nyeri at 7.00 p.m. He was at ...

killers who apparently are very young men. Without security in this country we will not develop. People are going to operate in fear and so they will not do business well. About corruption, we saw the list and I am very sorry. Our President needs to assess how people in public office have performed. This list should be looked at critically because there are some things which do not add up. The President has offered to set up a fund to cater for restorative justice. That amount of money should also benefit those who fought for Independence, especially the Mau ...

Thank you, hon, Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to support the Motion, as amended. The reason why I support this Motion is this: We are saying that the Government should do this and that. As parents, we want to take care of our boys and girls. When a six-year old boy sees you making beer at home, or when you take your children to a bar to buy them chips and chicken and you drink beer with your wife, you cannot tell those children that it is not good to drink beer. Some people buy beer which ...

one which can help. We can make the laws but we have to know how to guide our children. I appeal to hon. Mututho, the Chairman of NACADA. He was so active before. We want him to go round the country and talk to young people. He should not be going to a particular county but everywhere. Let those people meet boys and girls during holiday and tell them how alcohol is bad and how they can ruin their lives by taking alcohol. When you are drunk, you cannot do anything else. We have heard women complaining everywhere because of ...
