  • 4 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me the opportunity to support this Motion. I support Boinnet’s appointment. He has been in the police force and knows the problems of the police. I beg him, once he is appointed, to make sure that when police officers are called somewhere, their cars have petrol. They need to be provided with proper facilities to serve the public. We have a big problem of insecurity. If you go anywhere in this country, even in hotels like the Mount Kenya Hotel, there are no tourists. They fear for their security. We are not ... view
  • 4 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: Mr. Boinnet is aware of the problems in the Rift Valley and he is going to do a lot of work. I support him and I know that God is going to help him, because he is a God- fearing man, to make a difference in this country. I support the Motion. view
  • 4 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity to support the Bill. We know our children used to get a lot of problems in this country because whenever parents disagreed with each other, they left the children to roam. We also have children who are born outside marriage. We need to take care of all children in this country so that they can know the Government of Kenya is taking care of them. His Excellencies Uhuru and Ruto care about the family. Thank you very much, I support. view
  • 12 Feb 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I would like to say that the high school fees are making children of the poor not get education. We must think of how we are going to help the poor people. The rich people take their children to private schools and they pass well, while the ordinary people who take their children to public schools cannot pay school fees. • 12 Feb 2015 in National Assembly: the fees are as high as Kshs100,000. If one goes to Kenya High School, the uniform is also costly. We want to have a structure. It is good because the Cabinet Secretary (CS) is here. view
  • 12 Feb 2015 in National Assembly: Since the CS is the one in charge and was given that work by the President of this country, he should think of how he is going to help the poor families. There are some people who are employed and earn Kshs11,000 per month. They are paying rent and school fees. How can such people be able to take their children to secondary schools? We are, therefore, going to ruin our children because they are going to remain behind. If we are not going to have educated children, we will not go anywhere. So, we need our Government, through the ... view
  • 26 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to support this Motion on security. Our security in this country is becoming worse by the day. As Members of Parliament we need to think of how we are going to tackle this problem. We are here to help the ordinary people; our electorate. The problem is the structure of security apparatus. • 26 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: not doing well. We have so many centers of power. When you have many centers of power, I do not think we can go anywhere as far as security is concerned. We have the Mr. Kavuludi-led Commission. We have another one called the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA). We also have the Inspector-General of Police who cannot do anything because the commission will not agree to his way. Where are we heading to? If we have a house and the husband is a boss; the wife is also a boss and the child too is a boss, who is going ... view
  • 26 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: Why are we doing this? Let us not ruin our people. If the Inspector-General of the Police is going to be told by somebody who does not know the discipline that: “You cannot touch this person unless I approve” and yet he does not know about the disciplined force, we are ruining our people. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, we need to have a proper structure of the police force. As Members of Parliament, it is our duty not to cry. We should sit down here and agree as one family on how we are going to help our people. Thank ... view
  • 19 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker. On behalf of my family and the people of Othaya, I condole with the family of Senator Otieno Kajwang’. All of us will leave this world one day. We need to live in harmony, to love each other and to know that we were all created by God. Senator Otieno Kajwang’ went to his Creator. The family of Senator Otieno Kajwang’ feels very disappointed but we are telling them to be firm and trust in God because he will not leave them.
