  • 6 Apr 2022 in Senate: It is high time we had units in all our county referral hospitals that can handle these patients. They should not only handle them, but we also need qualified personnel that can handle these patients. view
  • 6 Apr 2022 in Senate: We also need to have well equipped diagnosis departments, which can easily attend to patients. The moment they are diagnosed, they should be taken to the hospital and attended to by qualified people, so that they can be provided with services they need. view
  • 6 Apr 2022 in Senate: As my colleagues have said, discrimination against these patients tortures them to an extent that most of them lose their lives. At times, some of them are handled in a cruel manner, while some are not even attended to. Some of them are given drugs that are not supposed to be given to them. Some of them are at times mistreated. Some of them are disowned by their own families and relatives because of their mental situations. view

From the Floor of this House, I cannot tell where the Ministry, and for that matter the Immigration Department at the airport, is coming in, in terms of investigating the Members that are travelling. Madam Temporary Speaker, you should give this House an answer right now and today on why we should be subjected to such kind of treatment. The Speaker has ... view

Data and privacy is a constitutional right of everyone. This technology is exposing even the social being of the citizens. I hope you direct this Statement to the Committee of National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations and the Committee of Information, Communication and Technology. The committees should tell us the role that the institutions concerned play in terms of the implementation of two important Bills. We passed the Data Protection Bill and also another Bill ... view
  • 1 Mar 2022 in Senate: Madam Deputy Speaker, I also take this opportunity to thank Sen. Cherargei who has a lot of passion in athletics and sports in this country because most of his Statements have something to do with sports. Therefore, I congratulate him. The Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife has a big role in promoting tourism in this country. It is not only sports tourism, but also wildlife and cultural tourism because there are many tourists who visit several sectors in this country. I also request the Committee not only to find out why the Ministry has failed to utilize the TPF, but ... view
  • 1 Mar 2022 in Senate: Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker. I was talking about the Brand Kenya Board and the TPF. What budget do they allocate and what activities do they promote in our counties? Those are some of the questions that the Committee should provide answers to inform this House. I thank you. view
