  • 11 Nov 2020 in Senate: people refer to Members of Parliament and governors and those women are taken as just women representatives. When people are being introduced, they become secondary women. Out of that 70, maybe they can still retain the 47 women. What we should be speaking to as a Senate is to have Cabinet Secretaries (CSs) appointed from Parliament so that we shall have some Senators joining ministerial positions as well. We have been speaking to issues of Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) across the counties. We have been strengthening the issues of setting up specialized centres in the various counties to ensure that we provide an all-inclusive education. view
  • 5 Nov 2020 in Senate: Madam Deputy Speaker, in the course of our interrogation, we did find that when County Executive Committee Members (CECs) go to establish schools, they simply put up a centre and say it is a special needs centre. We even interrogated to the extent of finding out the type of materials that are placed in those particular schools. We got a surprise that those children actually do not receive the right kind of education. view
