• 12 Feb 2019 in Senate: Another issue is with regard to school registration in this country. I remember seeking a statement on school registration some time back here. This problem of registration schools in this country has never been streamlined. It is a pity that some schools have students in form two, three and four and are yet to be registered. Last time, I complained that students in such schools will not only lose out on the actual manpower, but also on the Government capitation that would have given them the best education. view

This Bill is important in the sense that it will provide a legal framework for regulating outdoors advertisement in counties and for connected purposes. I think this Bill will go a long way in bringing sanity in terms of advertisement because, currently, there is a lot of confusion. Sen. Sometimes some people may have applied and then they feel that they have lost in an unfair manner. This Bill provides for ways to receive such redress. view

The Bill has provided for how people found guilty of this offence will be treated. Clause 18 states- ―A person who contravenes any provision of this Act for which no penalty is provided is liable, on conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to a fine not exceeding two hundred thousand shillings or to both.‖ view

I love this one because it directs one to the specific counties. In the past as it has been said, anybody would advertise anywhere. However, I think once this Bill goes through, we shall be able to see sanity in terms of advertisement. view
