  • 1 Aug 2019 in National Assembly: I thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. Due to the constraint of time, I forgot some of the House procedures. Thank you for your guidance. I also want to contribute to the Statistics (Amendment) Bill. The amendments in this Bill are very critical, especially at this time when we have the mammoth exercise of census. It is generally a very important exercise in every country because it gauges the planning process. It will give us housing data, income data and population density. All these parameters are important in making an informed economic decision when you are allocating resources. view

When farmers’ produce is rotting in some parts of this country, Kenyans in other parts are dying of hunger. This is a shame. view
  • 19 Mar 2019 in National Assembly: I just returned from my constituency, Lagdera which is in Garissa County, last night. The situation there is dire. If nothing is done in the next one week or so, a huge population of livestock will start dying. There is severe water scarcity and this has been the trend year in, year out. Hon. Deputy Speaker, every rainy season, we receive a lot of rain across the country. However, Kenyans are not smart enough to harvest water. This is especially in pastoralists’ areas.
