The Member for Gwassi was asking whether we could continue to supply extra food. If we have to continue, he has to make sure that he gives us an update report on it and we will act upon it.

On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. When this Report was being moved today, we brought to the attention of the Chair that we did not have the full report with us here. However, we agreed to continue with it the way it is. Now, tactics are being applied to stop us from debating it. Why is it coming at a later stage? They continue to talk about the report that was there. So, we need your ruling because you allowed this Report to continue and the debate to continue.

Mr. Speaker, Sir, the purpose of bringing the Committee report to Parliament is to ventilate and add value, or reject it. So, we are here doing so. There are issues we are discussing which have not been captured by the Committee or by the IEBC. This is what we are trying to do through amending parts of the report. However, by accommodating our views, you will give us time to support it. By not doing so, then, maybe, you will be forcing us to throw out the report.

Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, first of all, may I thank hon. Maina Kamau for giving me this chance. I just want to labour on two points and I will take one minute. First, I urge the Ministry of Education to make efforts to revitalize the intermediary colleges because every one of us cannot get into university. These should be spread all over the country to reduce the cost of transport and accommodation. If the colleges are started in the students’ backyards, they will gain from those facilities.
