Therefore, it is important that we move the agenda of this Bill forward. If there is anything to be added to improve it, we are ready for that. • 21 Mar 2019 in Senate: Madam Temporary Speaker, I beg to move;- THAT, this House adopts the Report of the Standing Committee on Finance and Budget on the County Governments’ infrastructure projects comprising County Executive Headquarter offices, Assembly Chambers and offices and County State officers’ residences, laid on the Table of the Senate on Thursday, 29th November, 2018. Article 96(1) of the Constitution provides that the Senate represents the counties and serves to protect the interests of the counties and their governments. Further, under Article 96(3) of the Constitution, the Senate determines the allocation of national revenue among counties. view

• 21 Mar 2019 in Senate: Madam Temporary Speaker, the Committee held several sittings in which it invited several key stakeholders which included the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), the Controller of Budgets, Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works. The Committee made several observations and recommendations on the issues raised by the various stakeholders.
