  • 15 May 2018 in Senate: Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. I might be mistaken. I rise to support the Motion by Sen. Were. This is one of those very timely issues that we have not tackled. I must confess that it is only that we do not follow up the things that we do, as a Senate. I had the privilege in the last term to travel to the Republic of Germany to a state called Kemnitz. It is one of those states that were attacked during the World War and it was completely obliterated. During our visit, we managed to meet the Ombudsman in ... view
  • 15 May 2018 in Senate: Madam Temporary Speaker, I was explaining that under The Fair Administrative Act and Access to Information Act, the Kenyan public is entitled to access to information on anything within the public view or any entity. Under The Fair Administrative Act, when you request for that information, it is supposed to be given to you, but the question is: Who checks in the county if one gets the information that they have requested for from the Government functionaries? • 9 May 2018 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am extremely displeased. The last time the Statement was supposed to be issued, it was not reached and no communication was issued. This is a follow-up. Could you sanction this Committee? I am surprised that the Senate Majority Whip has no information because it is not enough to just say the Statement will be ready in two weeks. Will it ... view

  • 9 May 2018 in Senate: This question is directed to the Chair. Could I please get the response from the Chair and not from everybody? view
  • 9 May 2018 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, would you kindly allow me five minutes to flip through? I am a fast reader. Could you skip this order to the next order? view
  • 9 May 2018 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, first of all, I understand where Sen. Haji, Senator of county No.007, is coming from. A very rare hyena was found in a place in Mbooni but before it was found it had already killed 400 livestock. Just one! What they did not know is that there is another one that is hiding and continuing to do the same. This matter must be taken seriously. Secondly, compensation, even for obvious deaths of human beings has taken long since 2014. The contradiction is this; if a person is found in the park, they are fined Kshs200,000 on the ... view
