  • 13 Mar 2019 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I saw an old man who lost his wife, daughter and two grandchildren, looking very desperate. There are many who have lost their spouses and children. Many people are feeling the pain. It is good for us, as a nation, to stand with them and also make sure that we create that sensitivity. This is because sometimes when the media reports they are not sensitive on the effect of whatever is on the media. view
  • 13 Mar 2019 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, my suggestion is that media people should also be sensitive on the news and images that they release and some of the words they use that have a lot of effect on the affected families. view

  • 13 Mar 2019 in Senate: As I was reading through the Bill, I realized its object is to provide a comprehensive framework for the making, scrutiny, publication and operation of statutory instruments. As we know, subsidiary legislation is key in the running of county governments. view
  • 13 Mar 2019 in Senate: We all know very well that the role of the Senate is to oversight our counties. We also know well that most of the times, county assemblies suffer in the hands of the county executives. By providing such a framework, we will be helping county assemblies to do their work more effectively. In fact, by passing this legislation, we will be empowering them. view
