When the Committee responsible for this will be looking at the matter, they should come up with an answer as to how this pronouncement sits with free and compulsory right to education of children. If it is free and compulsory and hurdles are placed, how will children’s rights be balanced with the desire to assess them and perhaps to force them to repeat? Lastly, it would be important for the Committee to also explain to the House where they have picked this kind of practice. ... view

So, when pupils and students identify the Senate as an institution worthy of visit, it is good for us to acknowledge that gesture. To the delegations of Migori and Homa Bay counties, the Senate is the place to be. They will one day make it and become Senators. However, the route to being a Senator, a Member of Parliament (MP) or leader is through education. So, I implore them to be studious and diligent. They ... view
