Thank you, so much, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity. I would like to, first of all, welcome my brother, John Mbadi, whom we have slogged it out with in this House for many years. Cabinet Secretary, I am happy to see you. I know that you and I have brushed shoulders recently, but that was not personal. That was purely business. I would like to just raise three issues. I am glad that you have discussed the issue of revenue collection. My position is that---

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Cabinet Secretary, there is the issue of revenue collection, the contradictions in the IFMIS system, the problem of Exchequer releases and finally, our debt. What do you intend to do with those three things? I know you have kind of answered them, but I have tried to link them all together. Recent reports have been raised concerning management and utilisation of these lands, including the controversial lease agreements that have been signed, including underutilization and financial instability of ADC. In this Statement, the Committee should- (1) Provide a comprehensive list of all ADC farms ...

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I would like to congratulate my brother, Sen. Cherarkey, for bringing up this issue. I hope the Committee will sit and look at what we have done with our Integrated Payroll and Personnel Database (IPPD) and what the national Government has done in the Public Service Commission, that is, the individuals that the Government has employed. We need to know how many teachers we have in this Republic. I can tell this House that if you ask for that list, you would not get it. Recently, a Kenyan said that he went to chase for ...

Mr. Speaker, Sir, I stand here to give my accolades to you as the Speaker for having thought it wise to invite the young lady who has made our country proud. Hon. Members of this Senate are all saying how wonderful she is. How I wish we changed the rules on how we reward medals from this House and nationally for Kenyans who have excelled or have done exceptionally well? Mr. Speaker, Sir, you know her personally. I hope that when you go back to Kilifi, you will enable her to continue. I request many of us to participate in ...

This House should make sure we appreciate our African and Kenyan athletes and those from other areas. Finally, I thank the delegation from Makueni that has come here for benchmarking and the team of witnesses who are here. It is a great honour to see both sides coming and watching what we do in this House.
