I participated in the campaigns in Bungoma and I know how hectic and competitive it was. So, for Sen. Wakoli to have won, is not a small achievement. Indeed, it is a big achievement. I also thank the people of Bungoma County for conducting peaceful elections that have produced a Senator. My advice to Sen. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, therefore, being a Senator for that county, it means you are the leading political leader in that county on matters of oversight. That means you will have to maintain high standards of leadership that these leaders had. I did not campaign for Sen. Wakoli. I campaigned for Hon. Wamunyinyi who was running on Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition Party. Fortunately, we now have a leader who was chosen by the people of Bungoma. Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Mine is very brief. First, I thank the Committee of 11 Hon. Members, who have done a very wonderful job under the leadership of my neighbour, Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale is a medical doctor, but he sounded like a lawyer from the way he was prosecuting issues as the Chair of the Committee. We thank you for that. The Committee worked long hours and some of us stayed on the television until 2.00 a.m. in the night watching the ...
