25 Feb 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I stand to support this Motion. I also plead with my colleagues that we pass the list as it is. The House was recalled one month earlier. Under normal circumstances, we are supposed to have a three month recess. However, because of the amount of work that we have for this country--- We have the new Constitution to deliver to this country. It is a waste of this countryâs resources if we squabble over names of hon. Members of this House who are equally qualified to be Member of this Committee. It is also a waste of ...

It is good that the Minister ...

2 Dec 2009 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, if the hon. Member was patient, I would have finished. I was just finishing so that others can have an opportunity to contribute. The structure that the Ministry has given here is super. Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I beg to support.

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to reply. (a) I wish to confirm that there is a shortfall of 150 teachers in Suba East and 209 in Suba West divisions. However, the shortage is not as a result of hardship in the area. Indeed, understaffing in our schools has been a serious national problem. There are slight disparities across the regions and so Suba East and Suba West cases are not unique. This is a problem across the country. (b) A staffing list per school in Suba West and Suba East divisions of Migori Constituency is appended to the answer. ...
