This rate is far much lower than the national average which is 61.5 per cent. That is from Standard I all the way to Standard VIII and then from Form I to Form IV in the regular schools. However, adult literacy takes care of those people who missed out and they are already adults. view

Those were unique cases which caught everyone by surprise when we brought in the Free Primary Education (FPE). However, the policy of the Ministry of Education is that adults who missed out in education belong to the adult literacy class.
