  • 17 May 2021 in Senate: that the most prudent thing to do, so that the process can be as flawless and just as it should be, is to allow the Governor to come to the House and make his remarks or comments. This is so that we should be knowledgeable of all the things he would want to say and then we can proceed to make a decision. We should be fully knowledgeable of all the things the Governor would want to say and then make a decision. I support. view
  • 11 May 2021 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to lay the following papers on the Table of the Senate today, Tuesday, 11th May 2021. view

  • 11 May 2021 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, on behalf of the people of Kiambu County, I vote yes. view
  • 11 May 2021 in Senate: Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker. I congratulate all Members of the Senate who have made contributions to this Bill. I also congratulate you, Madam Deputy Speaker and the Speaker’s Panel for the good work you have done in coordinating and regulating debate here. view
  • 11 May 2021 in Senate: It is good to exhale and go through what we have gone through and the lessons we have learnt. To me the bigger lesson is that the dynamism of the debate and the diversity of opinion we have had should not be a basis for us to have enmity. view
  • 11 May 2021 in Senate: Now we have a clear way forward that this Bill is now back to the owners who are the people of this country. They are the ones who first through the promoters made the suggestion. Indeed, there is something for almost everyone. Although some may not have got precisely what they wanted, what is good in it outweighs any challenges. For example, in the area I come from, Mt. Kenya Region, our people have been consistently for more than 30 years raising the issue of under-representation. Somehow, that will be addressed when Kenyans support this Bill. view
  • 11 May 2021 in Senate: That is how we started the “one man-one vote-one-shilling campaign”. We believe that alongside other Kenyans we also have something to take in this Bill, when the people finally decide on it, we will be better off as a country. view
  • 6 May 2021 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I know the Senator for Kakamega was just about to conclude his contribution. However, he misleads this House and the country when he creates the impression that there is preferential treatment of farmers of central Kenya. He said he would want to see a time when a sugarcane farmer in Kakamega will be treated like a coffee farmer in Mt. Kenya Region. view
