Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister assure this House of the precaution the Government is taking against disappearance of persons? We have seen children going to school and disappearing. We have seen youths and even security personnel disappearing. What clear measures is our Government taking to assure Kenyans that they are safe?

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, while I thank the Assistant Minister for his very positive response, I would like to urge him to indicate to this House the steps that are being taken to cushion those who were injured at the stadium and currently are being treated at the Kenyatta National Hospital to avoid unnecessary detention at the hospital.

Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, because of the importance of this national food programme, I would ask the Minister to indicate to this House what extra-ordinary measures he is taking to attract funds from the Treasury and the development partners to make the programme a reality, and enhance learning in schools in the semi arid areas, Kieni being one of them.

Secondly, I would urge the Minister to make sure that more funds are allocated to this sector, so that we can have more technicians, in the future, to address the kind of predicament we are in, in the country today.
