  • 13 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: Firstly, let me thank His Excellency the President, hon. Mwai Kibaki, for giving consent to this Motion. I should also thank the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance for the manner he has presented these Estimates to this House. I will also recognize the big role that is being played by the Permanent Secretary at the Treasury, together with his senior officials. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, agreeing to approve these Estimates allows continued services in the Government departments. • 13 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: Day are they going to celebrate if they are not settled? Let all Kenyans enjoy that view
  • 13 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: Day. We should make sure that funds are there to make sure that they are settled. It is pathetic that you can go to a hospital and find that there are no drugs. • 8 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, many roads in this country have been destroyed by the heavy rains that are taking place over the whole nation. Lari has not been spared from this pounding of roads, particularly Kagwe-Kimende Road and Gichiengo-Kijabe Road. I do understand that these roads will be constructed under the French 2000 Programme. Could the Assistant Minister indicate when that programme is due to commence? view
  • 7 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I appreciate the reply given by the Assistant Minister and I also note with satisfaction the enthusiasm and spirit he has shown in improving security in Embakasi. Could he in addition indicate to this House how much funds he has allocated for the intended new police division in Embakasi? view

  • 7 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Education:- (a) whether he is aware that some teachers posted by the Teachers Service Commission to Lari District immediately request for transfers with complaints of severe weather and cold related diseases; and, (b) whether he could consider Lari District as a hardship area in order to control the trend, which is affecting academic performance in the District. view
  • 7 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I have not been provided with a written answer to this very important Question. view
  • 7 Apr 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, this is a very unusual behaviour from the Ministry. I submitted the Question three weeks ago. By now, the necessary preparations would have been done. I will not be comfortable if the Assistant Minister requests for a long period to give an answer that is required urgently. view
