  • 2 Sep 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I support this Motion because as we are speaking right now, there are areas in this nation that are starving and thirsty. They need to be provided with these facilities. There are some other areas in this country where jiggers have invaded our homes and attacked our families! We need to go to those areas to fight the jiggers and even to visit the Ministers concerned and tell them to direct all the missiles to those jiggers. view

It should, therefore, be given a lot of attention. I urge the Government to allocate more funds to this sector so that the farmers are capacitated to increase the acreage in the rural areas. By so doing, the agricultural productivity in this nation will be enhanced. This ... view

Could the Minister confirm that these being jobless people, with families to support, will not be kicked out or evicted from their current accommodation not until their terminal benefits have been paid? view

  • 20 Aug 2009 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Water and Irrigation;c onsidering that Mwea GK Prison uses River Murubara for drainage and the villagers use the same water for domestic purposes, what urgent measures he is taking to ensure the area residents have access to clean drinking water and the prison stopped from releasing sewerage into the river. view
  • 20 Aug 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Assistant Minister for the answer but it is very sad that Ndikiki Water Project has been ongoing for the last four years and it is only 30 percent complete, which means that it might take another four view
  • 20 Aug 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like the Assistant Minister to know that the ablution blocks being put in place are for the inmates only. Could he also consider building ablution blocks for the prison warders so that we can also alleviate that problem? view
