  • 28 Jul 2009 in National Assembly: Regarding our district hospitals, there are some which are running but do not have qualified personnel. We lack doctors, dentists and even ambulances. If we are caring for the health of our people, the people who are going to spur the growth of this nation, it is important that all these facilities must be made available. I would suggest that during the next Budget, the Minister for Finance in conjunction with the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation should be able to see the need of increasing the Budget allocation. view

  • 22 Jul 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, hon. Warugongo had hinted to me that he was held up in the traffic jam. He is likely to appear here soon. view
  • 22 Jul 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, first, I wish to thank the Prime Minister for the well thought out Statement that he has given in this House. We also recognize the very strong appeal that he has put to us, as legislators, in order to assist the Government in the way forward. Secondly, I also note that the Government is committed to sacrificing to making sure that the ecosystem in this nation is restored. Could the Prime Minister give specific measures the Government is taking, particularly in those areas where communities are eating donkeys? The population of donkeys is almost depleted. view

Also, there is no water and food in those areas. What are the specific precautions the Government is taking to save the lives of those people? view

  • 21 Jul 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister clarify what the Ministry is doing concerning fake title deeds which have been cited as affecting our courts and banks? view
  • 21 Jul 2009 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Water and Irrigation; considering that Mwea GK Prison uses River Murubara for drainage, and the villagers use the same water for domestic purposes, what urgent measures she is taking to ensure the area residents have access to clean drinking water and the prison stopped from releasing sewerage into the river. view
  • 21 Jul 2009 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I want to thank the Assistant Minister for a very comprehensive answer. However, this has taken very long. The prison was put up 50 years ago. This is something that has been going on for 50 years; our people are using sewage for their domestic use. The Ndikiki Water Project does not incorporate all the residents of the lower part of the stream and the prison has put up a borehole. Could the Assistant Minister consider providing the residents who will not be beneficiaries of the Ndikiki Water Supply with water from the ... view
  • 25 Jun 2009 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir. Looking at the issue at hand, the origin and the contributions already made in this House, there is one thing that comes into my mind, which is that this House needs to stand in front of the Kenyan people and qualify for integrity and dignity. view
