  • 5 May 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, development of the second port in this nation is a very important undertaking. Could the Assistant Minister assure this House that adequate arrangements have been made to make sure that land owners in Lamu will be satisfactorily compensated? view
  • 29 Apr 2009 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for granting me this opportunity to make two comments. Firstly, I am delighted that the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance has indicated that he has consulted widely before bringing these Supplementary Estimates. Secondly, I also note that the President of this country has also given his consent to these Estimates. With the creation of the new districts, I would imagine that the necessary funds will be released to spur development in these areas. This can also be done by sending adequate personnel and even vehicles for these people. view

  • 24 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Finally, I wish to urge the Government to take special precaution on the security of our nation. They should improve the security on our border points, our waters and in Lake Victoria. Nobody should think of taking an inch of our land without being faced courageously by our security forces. view
  • 24 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: With those few remarks, I beg to support. view
  • 19 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I stand to support this very important Motion. First, I thank the Chair of the Committee, who has very ably presented the report to this House. It is high time we gave a quick approval to this Motion, because our nation right now is ailing as a result of corruption that is raging in the whole nation. If you can direct your attention to the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), what really happened last year and the year before? What has caused destruction in our schools? The strikes were as a result of corruption. Look at ... view
