• 25 Aug 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like the Assistant Minister to tell us whether he is aware that the majority of the members who are serving the Land Control Boards have not been re-gazetted in the newly constituted Kathonzweni Land Control Board. Under the circumstances, could he confirm that the first charge would be to clear the allowances accruing to members who have not made it back to the Land Control Board? view

• 14 Jul 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like to thank the Assistant Minister for clarifying that important issue. Those two projects are very important for the welfare of our people. I would like to thank the Assistant Minister for clarifying that, that land still belongs to the council. There are people who have been in that group and have been collecting Kshs100,000 for every acre that the Government has taken to develop that facility. Could the Assistant Minister order those people to desist from demanding the money on behalf of the Ministry? view
• 14 Jul 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, during the last financial year, the County Council of Makueni displaced some small-scale traders in Emali Town while constructing a bus park. The Assistant Minister has said that they are progressively planning that town. Could he assure this House that the small-scale traders who were displaced while the council was constructing a bus park will be the first people to be settled when that plan is completed? view
• 30 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Transport:- (a) whether he is aware that residents of Mbukani and Masamukye Sub-location of Nguu Settlement Scheme have no direct access to their farms from Mombasa-Nairobi Road as a result of being denied low level railway crossing between Simba Railway Station and Kiboko Railway station; and, (b) what immediate plans he has to provide the railway-level crossing. view
• 30 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, while appreciating the answer the Assistant Minister has given me, you will appreciate that the Assistant Minister has accepted that these farmers, or settlers for that matter, have no access to their shambas. The Assistant Minister appears to be running away from the responsibility of the Government of providing access for these people. These people’s shambas are not productive given the fact that they are not able to access their farms to raise this money the concessionaire is asking for. view

In the circumstances, it will be redundant to continue repeating the same process. I propose we move on without amendments. view
