He has given a very good statement but when Mr. Kioni asked a question on when he will pay the balance of Kshs25,000 he started talking about Kshs10,000. I have heard this clearly. Is the Assistant Minister in order to talk about a figure that he has not been asked? I am listening because I have 2,000 people who are waiting. They have received Kshs10,000. They have not received the Kshs25,000. view

One of the reasons is that some of them get late in payment of duties or registration. The other reason is that the returning citizens are allowed to import vehicles which are over eight years old. It is becoming increasingly clear that it is very sensitive and there is something that is not coming out clearly. • 27 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I wish to thank the Assistant Minister for giving that comprehensive answer. But at the same time, I wish to inform him that the Kiambu County Council has sent their personnel to the ground and they have gone ahead to demarcate the same piece of land into several plots. Since it has happened before in Limuru, I want the Assistant Minister to give an undertaking in this House that, that plot is going to be left intact for public use. view

I am aware that they are also trying to subdivide public land in the name of a stadium and they seem not to have this circular. Could he tell this House what action he intends to take against those chief officers who are going against this circular if, indeed, they have received it? view
