• 9 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: I support it because, one, it is going to allow us, as Senators, to ensure that not only do we supervise and co-ordinate planning and development at the county level, but it will also open up opportunities for cross-county collaboration. This is because there are a lot of development projects that can be better implemented if counties collaborate. For example, the Lake Basin counties, which are about nine, could do a lot of things together and enhance development if there is proper co-ordination and planning. I am sure in his earlier life as a Provincial Commissioner; he must have met so many miserable cases of parents pleading with him to intervene in one school or the other with their children not being given certificates after they have completed their schooling. While I deeply respect my clan elder from Meru County, is it in order for him to generalize what is purely his style of politics then to those who had much more refined opposition politics? Very uncharacteristic of the crude manner in which he presented himself. view
