  • 12 May 2009 in National Assembly: Members of the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) numbering about 100 crossed into Kenya from Ethiopia, and have been staying around Kom, the common border of Isiolo/Samburu East/Laisamis districts. It is reported that the OLF rebels were transported by lorries at night, with the facilitation of some NGOs with interest in Marsabit and Isiolo districts. The rebels are reported to be armed with sophisticated firearms and, therefore, are causing a lot of fear to the residents of the three districts.
