  • 10 Jun 2015 in National Assembly: As an hon. Member, I cannot use such language. You know the words--- view
  • 10 Jun 2015 in National Assembly: Mhe Temporary Deputy Speaker, you did not speak--- view
  • 9 Jun 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I support the Report of the Departmental Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing. I am one of the Members who supported the Committee on this issue because I was aware my people were going to benefit in terms of transport. Some of my people live far from the main road and most of them will benefit from this project. I wish to request the Committee to investigate what is happening in some parts of my constituency, namely Kalembwani, Nzeveni and Ngaamba. The Chinese are using very strong machines and about 200 houses have cracked. This ... view
  • 19 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman for giving me this opportunity just to say something. I am just coming from my constituency. I really wanted to be here so that I say something on this Bill. I do not support because the courts can ask for any evidence. view
  • 19 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: Women are just held somewhere at the corner. If it were something favouring men, this Motion would have gone through very early. But, as long as it is pinning down women, I do not accept it. If you want this to take place, please, make amendments then it will be accepted. Therefore, we decline because the courts will decide whether to ask for any evidence or not. I do not support the amendment. • 18 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I am not going to repeat what has been said by my colleagues. I rise to support the Motion as amended. Here, we are talking about alcohol increase and abuse in Kenya and, more so, in the urban areas. view
  • 18 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: I am just looking at the number of the young people who are involved in alcohol. I am sure if proper research is done, we will get more than this. As we discuss and debate alcohol abuse, I would request parents--- On several occasions, we have seen parents going out on a drinking spree with very young kids. They go and drink and, sometimes, it is like a demonstration. It is going to become very difficult for such parents to turn round and tell their children: “Drinking is not good for you.” We must demonstrate that as parents. In some ... view
  • 19 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you hon. Speaker, I just want to stand here to say a very big pole on behalf of my family and the people of Kilome Constituency. Hon. Kajwang’ was a very kind man and he spoke what he believed in. He was a very happy man who would smile all the time. I know we are going to miss him, the Mapambano song and other things that he did for the CORD coalition. We also extend our pole to our colleague, hon. T. J. Kajwang’ who lost his brother and we ask God to rest his soul in eternal ... view
  • 18 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I also stand here to support the Motion moved by Mheshimiwa Rachel Shebesh. What happened to the two ladies as we witnessed is very sad. As a mother and a woman, I think what happened should be condemned by all of us. If we are going to allow this kind of behaviour, very soon these gangs are going to come together and they will demand for money. If you do not give them money, they will strip you naked. God has given these men time to do what they want. What they are doing ... view
