  • 26 Nov 2024 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I beg to report that the Committee of the whole House has considered the Coffee (Senate Bill No.10 of 2023) and approved the same with amendments. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. view
  • 20 Nov 2024 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me a chance to also joyride on this supplementary question session. I would like to ask the Cabinet Secretary whether he will assure this House that there will be no crisis in the Department of Dental Sciences. I have listened to him very carefully and noted that he was very careful when he was responding to this Question. There seems to be a problem of human power. There is only one professor in that Department, one lecturer who has resigned and one whose contract has come to an end. Can he assure this House ... view
  • 14 Nov 2024 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Speaker. I would like to say that Hon. Parashina has a point. view
  • 14 Nov 2024 in National Assembly: With a lot of respect, I would like to tell the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Transport and Infrastructure that there is a problem. My own constituency, Kitui South, and the entire Kitui County, got about Ksh400 million. Kitui South Constituency has less than Ksh100 million and yet, there are Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) roads and highways to be repaired. I saw a constituency that received Ksh4 billion. It is worrying. It is something that must be discussed in this House. I do not know how you will go about it; you can even call us for a ... view
  • 14 Nov 2024 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I got to know about this after I took the trouble to analyse that document. I wanted to know how much had gone to every county. There is a problem and we need support. We need support from the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Transport and Infrastructure. Hon. Speaker, we also need support from you. As I was looking at Kitui County, I had time to look at Bungoma County, and I can say that the picture is not good. view
  • 13 Nov 2024 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I support the request for a statement by Hon. Beatrice Elachi. The Departmental Committee on Health, led by Hon. (Dr) Pukose, who is a surgeon, needs to ensure that Kenyans get a list of doctors who can perform cosmetic surgeries without endangering peoples’ lives. Many people have gone to those doctors and they are suffering. It is a contemporary way of dealing with aging. As Kenyans, we cannot bury our heads in the sand and say that it is not happening. It is happening! I would like to ask Hon. (Dr) Pukose whether ... view
  • 13 Nov 2024 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I beg to report that the Committee of the whole House has considered the Community Health Promoters Bill, (National Assembly Bill No.53 of 2022), and approved the same with amendments. view
  • 17 Oct 2024 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I support this request for Statement. We have asbestos at Ikanga Health Centre in my constituency. The information we have been given is that the national Government will remove all the asbestos. We were told that it should not be touched. I urge the Committee Chairman to ensure that this matter is taken very seriously. Many places have been littered with asbestos. Hon. Nyiva donated land, where asbestos waste material was kept. Later on, some lorries went there and carried it to a safer place, meaning that even the land that had been The electronic version ... view
  • 17 Oct 2024 in National Assembly: donated is not safe because it was taking asbestos to water sources. The Chairman must give a very strong commitment on how they are going to deal with asbestos. If possible, they should pick up the asbestos at Ikanga Health Centre to protect my constituents from getting sick. view
  • 9 Oct 2024 in National Assembly: Ahsante sana, Mhe.
