This is because it goes against the spirit of the Mwongozo code, which has been the guidance of most of the amendments. Actually, it also seeks to abdicate the role of the company secretary and also seeks to introduce the CEO as a managing director as well. KMTC, as we know it, is not a profit making corporation and managing directors, as we know, are usually in companies that also make profit. view

  • 25 Oct 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I do stand to support the amendment by the Chair of the Committee. The proposal in the Bill would have made the Academic Council a judge in their own case, because you cannot ask them whether you need to do something that affects them and seek their opinion. First, I am personally impressed by the work that has been done by the Special Funds Accounts Committee. It is very new in Parliament and is operating without precedent. They have covered the entire Nairobi City County and brought a Report to this House. This is good work towards the right direction. They are under the leadership of Hon.
