1 Jul 2015 in Senate:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I also want to add my voice to this very grave issue happening in north eastern Kenya. However, this is not only affecting north eastern Kenya but also Baragoi which is in my county. Three secondary schools have been closed down because of cattle rustling. I would like the Chairman to include all the schools which have been closed down in the north rift and the former North Eastern Province and come up with a solution which will ensure that all schools are given enough security.

31 Mar 2015 in Senate:
Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to contribute to His Excellency, Uhuru Kenyatta’s Speech to the nation. From the Speech, I picked three very important issues which the President raised, that is, unity, security and corruption. Regarding the issue of unity, the President’s intention was to unite all Kenyans regardless of their race, ethnicity and many other factors. He would like to see a nation which is cohesive and where citizens understand each other. We have seen so many incidences where ethnicity is mushrooming. I would like us, as the “Upper House,” to stand together ...

31 Mar 2015 in Senate:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we must try and unite all Kenyans from Mandera to Homa Bay and Lamu to Turkana. As Senators, let us not preach disunity, ethnicity and nepotism. We must stand as the “Upper House” to condemn ethnicity, nepotism and many other issues which are affecting our nation. Our President spoke very well about security. I am only shocked that he did not mention about cattle rustling which has taken more lives than Al-Shabaab, from Baringo ...
