• 21 Jul 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, farmers in Perkera Irrigation Scheme during the ESP programme produced over 10,000 bags of maize. Unfortunately, the NCPB purchased only 1,500 bags at two different prices. In March it purchased the maize at Kshs2,300 per bag and recently they have been purchasing it at Kshs1,400 and the farmers have not been paid. Is the Assistant Minister going to purchase the 10,000 bags which are lying with the farmers? view

(c) What is the Minister doing to improve the existing facilities of this hospital? view
• 13 Jul 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I wish to thank the Minister for the comprehensive answer, especially with regard to the planned programmes. However, he has stated that there is a shortfall of four theatres. I am aware at the hospital, patients who require critical surgery queue for a period of not less than 72 hours. What is the Minister doing to bridge this gap, given the fact that this is both a referral and a teaching facility? view
