when you use soap which is an alkaline solution, it is likely to be neutralised without causing much harm and difficulty to the people.

Finally, because I have seen the amber light, but I would have liked to comment more, one of the important things is keeping yourself protected, particularly the frontline workers. I am one of the professionals. The frontline workers need to be protected because we need them more than ever before.

14 Jul 2020 in Senate:
Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to weigh in on a very important topic. Children are a heritage to the society. The way we bring up our children will determine how the nation will move forward. Train the child in the way he or she should go so that in the latter days, he or she may never forget what you have trained them to be. If you read in Proverbs 22:6, it says- “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” What ...

7 Jul 2020 in Senate:
Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to weigh in on this matter. It is sad. In fact, on average, 18 per cent of the adolescent children are pregnant or get pregnant at that tender age. Therefore, it is not only a problem to parents, but also a health risk in the sense that delivery by these children comes with a lot of complications. Also, to nurture young babies through these young mothers becomes a task in itself. It is quite a paradox that we are educating young girls and boys for them to elude poverty. Unfortunately, ...

26 Jun 2020 in Senate:
Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me the opportunity to weigh in on this matter. First and foremost, I want to thank the Committee for having carried out a very important responsibility of arbitrating and listening to the views of the people of Kirinyaga and the Governor. They were all given an opportunity to be heard in the public glare. Issues were canvassed on the Floor of this House. They have been captured in the Report that I have seen and will peruse through. When you carefully read it – and I intend to do so – it is ...

26 Jun 2020 in Senate:
I think that one area that came out quite clearly is the area of procurement. The items that are locally procured will be very important input to the proceedings of the County Government of Kirinyaga, and they will be able to censure them at that level. Even if this were to go to the EACC, they would not have the capacity to see where specific projects are located and at what stage they are. Therefore, the people who are in the best element to deal with this matter at that level would be the MCAs. I commend this Report. I ...

24 Jun 2020 in Senate:
Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to weigh in on this Petition brought to you by Sen. (Prof.) Kamar on behalf of the people of Usain Gishu. One of the recurring events in public accounts is the issue of assets; whether they relate to the defunct local authorities; how they were handed over, managed or how new ones are being acquired for the national Government or county governments. This has really been a very thorny issue. It is an area where there is a lot of misuse of resources for very dubious elements that appear. When ...

24 Jun 2020 in Senate:
Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker. I want to weigh in on this matter. This issue of Exchequer releases is embarrassing county governments. As I speak today, I have checked about four counties and the story that we are hearing is that up to now the final tranche of release of the resources has not happened. Today is 24th of June, 2020. By next week, the month ends. What we have noticed when we examine the public accounts is that the money is wired on 30th of June; a time when
