So, there is no way he can bring disrepute to the Society just merely by being a member. If he is a member of the Society just by virtue of having been honoured, he does not practise as a lawyer. What we are dealing with here are instances when advocates can be expelled and not honorary members. view

I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 17 of the Bill be amended in sub clause (2) by deleting the full stop at the end of paragraph (c) and substituting therefor the words “one of whom shall be an advocate of at least 25 years standing.” We are seeking that one of the members to be elected to the Council of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), should include a person who has been practising for at least 25 years.
