Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady. The Leader of Majority Party has defaulted the moving of the Bill in the Third Reading. As the Chair of Justice and Legal Affairs Committee, we are the ones who are carrying the amendments. The amendments are from the Committee; they are not from the Leader of Majority Party. He does not have any amendments.

I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 7 of the Bill be amended in sub clause (2) by deleting the words “suspended or whose name has been struck off the Role of Advocates shall not be a member of the Society during the period of suspension or” and substituting therefor the words “whose name has been struck off the Roll of Advocates shall not be a member of the Society during the period of” The reason we are doing that is to align it with the Advocates Act itself.
