  • 1 Jul 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker. This is a very weighty matter which requires serious interrogation, particularly as alleged by hon. Lekuton that some people are impersonating others. This is, in fact, a criminal offence in which somebody should be charged. So, the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) may even be called so that we can advise him on how to charge some of these fellows who have misused the privileges of the House. Four weeks will be good enough to deal with impersonification of these persons. Thank you. view

That gives us about 44 days. This is a matter of national importance. When we discussed in the Committee, some members felt that we should do public hearings, possibly by clustering the counties, so that we can hear what the people are saying.
