  • 12 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: Asante sana, Mhe. Naibu Spika wa Muda. view
  • 17 Oct 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for also giving me this opportunity to air my views and consider some issues that have been raised by colleagues in this House. I support the Bill. As Members have said, it has been here for long. It had some issues before. Time has come and there is now light at the end of the tunnel. When we talk of special interest groups, most of the time people think of women. Throughout history, we have had very powerful women who championed their way to this House. We have the likes of Phoebe ... view
  • 17 Oct 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. Sometimes you chair other things. You can still chair the House as you have been doing. That is what I was referring to. I have been here longer than this young man here. You cannot compare my age with his. He is a friend. view

  • 17 Oct 2019 in National Assembly: I have gone through the current Bill. Maybe, during the Committee of the whole House Stage, we might come up with amendments to improve it and make it better than it is now. The people who need special attention are the disabled. We had one in the 11th Parliament and another one in the 12th Parliament. Why should we only have one and yet they are many? We had better increase the number to two so that as one articulates an issue, another one can come in and add what the other one left out. This weekend, I was in ... view
  • 24 Sep 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity to add my voice to this Sessional Paper. I want to first and foremost congratulate the Departmental Committee on Education and Research because they have come up with a very important item that is going to sort out some issues in the Ministry of Education. Everybody is contributing on what the masses out there discuss about the new CBC. Some of us are asking ourselves how it started and who initiated it. It has not come to this House and members of the public have not been involved. When ... view
  • 24 Sep 2019 in National Assembly: We should not allow some individuals to come from nowhere. When we were appointing the current Cabinet Secretary, most of the guys who were in Nairobi praised him so much, but some of us are disappointed. In fact, two weeks ago, he was in Kapenguria, West Pokot and was unable to visit schools. He visited about two schools and disappeared because he noted the mess going on and people were preparing to ask him questions. When we talk about the CBC, I have some children in private and public schools. Those in public schools are suffering. The only people who ... view
  • 25 Apr 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this chance to add my voice. In the Bible, there is a verse which says that faith without action is dead. This was just a routine. Some of us have been here for long since the time of President Kibaki and now President Uhuru. This is a just a trend that every year the President must come and give a prepared speech and after that, it gathers dust and nothing comes out of it. As you can see, currently, there are many extrajudicial killings by the police and no action is ... view
  • 5 Mar 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this chance to contribute to this very important Motion which is before us. My colleagues have praised what the NG-CDF has done. I also want to join them by thanking the current Committee for the wonderful work they have done. The Report is very clear. It indicates every level that has happened from the time we started in 2017. view
