  • 7 Jul 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I wish to thank the Assistant Minister for taking rapid action and opening a file for investigation for the late Ali Abdul Bwana? We are very disappointed by the death of Juma Yusuf and Baidi Said, who were murdered in June, 2009. However, according to the Assistant Minister’s reply, no arrests have so far been made. view
  • 7 Jul 2010 in National Assembly: I wish to seek clarifications from him on the issue of late Badi Saidi and late Juma Yusuf. Will the families of these two young Kenyans who were working in the security agencies ever know the cause of the death of those two loved members? Could he also assure us that the families of the late Juma Yusuf, Badi Saidi and Ali Abdul Bwana will be taken care of? view
  • 7 Jul 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, there are two clarifications I would like the Assistant Minister to address. One is about the security of officers who are alive. He has just told us that they are now being provided with bullet-proof vests. Could the Assistant Minister consider all the security officers who are working under very dangerous situations? Could he also consider assisting the families of the late Juma Yusuf, late Badi Saidi and the late Ali Abdul Bwana? view
  • 6 Jul 2010 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. The Assistant Minister has said that he had applied for Kshs1.6 billion but they were allocated only Kshs320 million. That is almost 30 per cent of what they had applied for. Why did the Assistant Minister not use the 30 per cent on the 18,000 primary schools to employ the ECD teachers? view
  • 30 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I wish to remind the Assistant Minister that there is faith in the armed forces. view
  • 30 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Why are members of certain faiths allowed to wear turbans when they are on duty as army forces? Members of the Sikh faith are allowed to wear turbans in the armed forces. view
  • 30 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I rise to seek a Ministerial Statement from the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security. On 27th June, 2010, an officer attached to the National Security Intelligence Service (NSIS), the late Mr. Ali Abul Bwana was shot dead in Bondeni in Mombasa around 8.00 p.m. under circumstances suspected to be linked to an act of assassination. His killers disappeared immediately. To date, the motive of the murder of the officer is yet to be known and his killers are yet to be apprehended. Could he reveal how ... view
  • 29 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. With all due respect to Mr. Duale, I think there is a meeting of our Executive Committee. I am not one of them and neither is Ms. S. Abdalla. So, there is an Executive Committee meeting. view
  • 24 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, you have heard from the Assistant Minister that this project will cost about Kshs3.6 billion and it is a very old project. Could the Minister inform the House how he sourced those funds? view
  • 9 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like to thank the Prime Minister for informing the House that Kshs533 million has been released. I have gone to almost half of the country and I realized that many Kenyans have not received the copies of the draft Constitution. My concern is that there is a huge outcry that Kenyans need a Kiswahili version of the draft Constitution, so that they can really understand it and come up with a proper decision by 4th August, 2010. Could he ensure that some copies are produced in Kiswahili Language? view
