However, it is not always like that. I take this opportunity to welcome the students from TUK. I hope that you will follow the proceedings and get to pick one or two things here.   • 9 May 2024 in Senate: It is an office akin to the Auditor-General. However, within that office, they can employ other officers to help that officer. In my view, the holder of the principal office should be someone who has the sort of experience that would accord with the office that they hold. view

  • 8 May 2024 in Senate: When we speak to these doctors, they do not understand how these things are not getting through to people. How can they spend a whole three months explaining to you what a medical intern is, but when you stand up here, you say, “Ooh! we should be standardizing and paying them the way we pay pupils at a law firm.” It is extremely frustrating and I am sure even now she is losing her mind where she is and I am hoping that I can channel some of that energy that I am sure she is going through right now. ... view
  • 8 May 2024 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I wish you would allow these hon. Members to meet these doctors here one day. When those doctors come here you will notice that there are hon. Members who never go and meet those doctors. I am sure they will not address them the way you are directing me to address them. However, since I am a Member of this House, I will address them as you have directed me.
