Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, this Assistant Minister undertook in this House some time last year that the road from Ijara to Hola via the bridge would be repaired. He had said that starting January this year, they would start repairing the road. May I get your direction on that undertaking because it is serious for a Minister to give an undertaking and yet up to today, that has not been done.

Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister has already alluded to the fact that there is no law, policy or restriction directed at any gender or religion. This is a special issue. It is about religious obligation. What we are asking is: Particularly in this month of Ramadhan, why can the Ministry not design a headscarf from the same uniform material for the Muslim women in the army?

Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I thank the Assistant Minister for saying that he will consider this matter. However, the Constitution and policies he has referred to are things that we make in this House. It is this House that is, again, pleading for the Muslim women. It is a religious obligation that they cover their heads. We are just saying that let this be part of their uniform, just the same way you have designed uniform for the Sikhs. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I had a Question sometimes last year on the Masalani Bridge and the poor conditions of the road that is connecting Masalani to Hola. The Ministry of Roads promised this House, under your leadership, that they are going to pay a visit in January. To date, that visit was not made and nothing has been undertaken. So, I am requesting for your direction on this particular matter.
